EXCEL PROBLEM

NigelRG

Sire
I'm trying to freeze the top line of an excel sheet (excel 2010) and it only works for a single visit, I have to do it on each visit. How do I get it for every visit.

Thanks for the info dicko14 dicko14 I can freeze the top line without problem but every time I exit it appers to unfreeze it, I guess I'll just have to live with it.

One more thing to try. In the upper right corner, just above the up-arrow of the scroll bar, you'll find a small bar that changes the cursor to up/down arrows separated by two lines. Left-click and hold this small bar and drag it down one row. You should see the first row twice. Next go to View-->Freeze Panes-->Freeze Panes. Save the file and see if it sticks when you reopen it.

Make sure you unhide all rows before freezing.
Sometimes a row may be hidden that you may have forgotten about or split.
I get a black line under my row when I freeze it,
I take it you are selecting the row below the one you want to freeze. If so try going to the end of that row and to the next cell to the right.
There's lots of different ways freeze panes can be implemented,.
