VDW hedgehog/stubble - trying to get lucky

Hello all,

Looked at the 4.15 Curragh today and have it between slade power, dandy boy, hamza, sea siren and sendmylovetorose but h and smltr are both out due to going and db is out due being beaten by a lower ar horse without excuses so that leaves sp and ss. I can't bet both so it's bet one or pass. Both ss and sp met field of dreams and were then dropped in class and won. Ss is now rising in class but sp was raised in class again coming closer to fod and now is dropping again. Sp trainer is telling us he is trying to win today.

I'm hoping ss goes odds on as I think I'll get better odds on sp. I have bet sp with billy hill and betfair

Hello all,

Looked at one race today the 3.40 Donnie and have it between smarty socks, chellalla, shebebi, lutine bell and jamesbos girl but s needs gf and c, lb and jg all have bad comments which leaves ss. Ss 2 races back almost won and the trainer learnt from that near miss by putting ss up in distance so working on it's stamina. Today ss drops in distance and class and I think the trainer is telling us he is out to win today. . Lto ss was beaten by a 158ar horse which is better than anything in this race bar s. S needs gf but is a Johnson horse so should set a good pace from the front which will help ss.

I have bet ss with billy hill and betfair

That isn't good news. S is top on ar but lto it was beaten by a 142ar horse which was dropping in class but won at 28/1 while s was favourite and s is going up in class today. At best s has a half marked card.

I think I'll take my chances bu. Thanks for the warning

Hi Hedgehog

Nothing wrong with the two horses you shortlisted and well done.

SS is a 9 year old and highest OR Handicap win was back in 2011 off 95. Ran off 98 today and would need a career best. Was also giving 10lbs to S who is only 3 and had won a better class race than this. It was only the Ground conditions that put you off reading your analysis and of course that changed from the morning stated going.

Hello all,

I've been doing a bit of research and hope to have a rough idea what makes s form horse.

Looked at one race today the c2 at southwell and have it between finger onthe pulse, weisanstrum, dark energy and Henry san. I only have 3 form horse, billy magern, Fotp and de so fotp is the cf horse. This is between fotp and de but I think the trainer is telling us he is out for the win with fotp. Fotp Lto was beaten by the lower ar bobowen when rising in class in a tough race today fotp is dropping in class into a much easier race. De has won 2 on the bounce and a 3rd is a possibility but fotp is suited by conditions and has good comments so instead of my normal book I have bet just Fotp with bh and betfair

Looked at one race today the 3.30 Goodwood and have it between trade storm, premio loco, stipulate and thistle bird. All are suited by the going but I don't like ts comments which leaves 3. Of the 3 only s and tb are form horses and tb is the cf horse

Lto tb was beaten by winsili in a tougher race and w in hindsight looks like a decent winner. I make tb the favorite and would not be surprised if it flips over afsare. I have bet tb with bh and betfair

Looked at the 4.10 ripon today and have it between Robert the painter, trail blaze, haafaguinea and osteopathic remedy and all but or are form horses. H is my subset c.f and was initially discounted due to the goings but that has changed. H would be my selection if there isn't a higher ar form horse in the race but there is, Dubai dynamo.

Dd is suited by conditions and has dropped below it's last winning or and has an excuse for being beaten lto in a fast race. I think dd is a major threat to h so much so that I have bet dd with bh and betfair

I've checked and I was wrong about or, it is a form horse but i'm probably wrong but dd is also a form horse.

That said from your post should I only be looking at the first 5/6 in the betting for form horses? Please?
